May 21 Stephen Kuo 郭立中Stephen Kuo has recruited to be one of the Chinese Taipei Figure Skaters in 2008 and represented TPE to competed in 2009 ISU World Junior Figure Skating Championships, which was held in Sofia, Bulgaria on 22nd Feb. ~ 1st Mar., 2009.
There were total 41 nations participated in 2009 ISU World Junior Figure Skating Championships and only the top 24 skaters in SP (Short Program) may be eligible to compete in Free Skating. Stephen earned 43.14 points in his Short Program and was placed in 26th.
However, this was Stephen's first time to compete in ISU Championships and we believe he will be doing better in the next international competitions. Stephen Kuo will be participate in 2009 National Figure Skating Championships and which will be held on 15th ~ 16th August, 2009 at Taipei Annex Arena.

郭立中 (Stephen Kuo)於2008年正式加入中華台北花式滑冰陣容, 並代表我國參加在2009年2月22日至3月1日假保加利亞舉辦之2009 ISU世界 青年花式滑冰錦標賽 (2009 ISU World Junior Figure Skating Championships)，這是郭立中 (Stephen Kuo)首次參加由國際滑冰總會 (ISU, International Skating Union)主辦之正式錦標賽. 此次賽會共有41個ISU會員國參賽, 選手若在短曲項目排名前24名, 即可晉級長曲的決賽.而首次參加國際正式比賽的郭立中 (Stephen Kuo)，最後以43.14分在短曲項目排名第26名，很遺憾無法晉級長曲決賽. 但以郭立中 (Stephen Kuo)第一次參加ISU正式錦標賽, 能有此成績是非常難能可貴且值得鼓勵! 接下來，郭立中 (Stephen Kuo)將會在今年8月15至16日專程返國參加在台北小巨蛋副館舉辦的「2009年全國花式滑冰分齡分級錦標賽」. October 01 Sebra Yen (顏少博) at 2008 ISU JGP - Mexico Cup and SpainSebra Yen (顏少博) has represented Chinese Taipei to competed in 2008 ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating - Mexico Cup (10~14 September 2008) and Madrid / Spain (24~28 September 2008). He has done a great job in both competitions!
Sebra Yen (顏少博) has earned 31.34 points in his Short Program and 56.99 points in Free Skating (total 88.33 points) in 2008 ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating - Mexico Cup which held in Mexico City from 10 ~ 14 September 2008. On the same month, Sebra Yen (顏少博) has again represented Chinese Taipei to entered in 2008 ISU JGP - Spain which held in Madrid, Spain from 24 ~ 28 September, he has earned 33.77 points in his Short Program and 58.54 points in the Free Skating, with total 92.31 points.

September 01 2008/2009 ISU JGP青年花冰大獎賽楊祥琍獲第 18名2008/2009 ISU JGP 青年花式滑冰大獎賽，在法國 Coutchevel 第一站開賽，共有35位青女組選手激烈競逐，代表我國的楊祥琍 Sigrid Young 以 91.51分(短曲33.22分第21名 / 長曲58.29分第20名)，獲得第 18名，算是很不容易了。有更多她的資料照片，刊於協會花式滑冰電子相簿：http://blog.yam.com/richkhlee中，歡迎瀏覽指教。
Sigrid Young has represented Chinese Taipei to enter 2008/2009 ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating - Courchevel/France from 27~31 August '2008. There were total 35 nations competing in Junior Ladies Category, Sigrid Young has ended up with total 91.51 points and placed 18th in this event. July 17 我國雙人花式滑冰選手楊周宏、楊雪芬，獲得國際滑冰總會ISU $7,200美元獎學金 經由中華民國滑冰協會之推荐，代表我國參加世界青年花式滑冰錦標賽雙人花式滑冰選手楊周宏、楊雪芬，以118.90分，在世界20對好手中奪得第13名，最近獲得國際滑冰總會 ISU的$7,200元美金的獎學金。
2007年楊周宏、楊雪芬兄妹首次參加世界青年花式滑冰錦標賽，曾以 111.95分一鳴驚人，獲得國際滑冰總會的 $6,000美元的獎學金。今年，他們在這項高難度的雙人花式滑冰錦標賽中，成績續有進步，因而經由我國滑冰協會之推荐，國際滑冰總會審核通過，並追加楊氏兄妹第二年 $7,200美元的獎學金。
2007年我國另有李國婕獲得女子花式滑冰獎學金資格，因為她在世界青年花式滑冰錦標賽女子組52位競爭選手中，獲得第 22 名佳績。在我國短道競速滑冰選手方面，陳怡倫、林 瑋也因為在世界青年短道競速滑冰錦標賽中，有顯著的進步，也分別各獲得國際滑冰總會 $5,000美元獎學金。( 2008/07/17 李廣淮)
March 21 王展玲(Melinda Wang)獲得2008世界花式滑冰錦標賽第 23名，超越其他各國 30 位選手，進軍2010年冬季奧運會有希望... 初次參加2008世界花式滑冰錦標賽的中華民國女子花冰選手王展玲，已於3月20日晚間，在瑞典第二大城哥登堡完成長曲自由花式的比賽，全場一萬兩千以上爆滿的觀眾，欣賞王展玲4分多鐘的長曲表演，並報以熱烈掌聲，結果以 116.12分，在 53 名選手中獲得第 23 名，超越了其他各國 30 位選手。
依照冬季奧運會的賽制，前一年的世界花式滑冰錦標賽女子花式，進入前 24 強決賽的選手，將可獲得參賽冬季奧運的資格門票。2010年溫哥華冬季奧運會的女子花式滑冰參賽權，將於
2009年洛杉磯世界花式滑冰錦標賽女子花式前 24 強選手獲得。王展玲尚未滿 18 歲，她提前一年在瑞典哥登堡世界花式滑冰錦標賽中，擠上了女子前 24 強的決賽列車，對於她明年此時，
在洛杉磯世界花式滑冰錦標賽中，再度搭上前 24 強決賽列車，並獲得 2010年溫哥華冬奧運參賽權，這次吸取了寶貴的經驗，並增加了信心。
王展玲於今年2月赴韓國先參加四大洲比賽，以 119.58分，在32 位選手中獲得第 15 名。這次，她再參加世界花式滑冰錦標賽，以 116.12分，在 53 位選手中，居第 23名，她所表現的技術分數都很高，可惜表演分數比較偏低。主要是她初次參加國際錦標賽，裁判都對她很陌生，在判給分數時，比較保守並偏低。
因此，中華民國滑冰協會決定，在未來一年將安排王展玲，多參加國際錦標賽吸取經驗，並增加國際裁判對王展玲的深刻而良好的印象。 |
